Spox: Putin’s visit to Crimea postponed until July 20
MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin’s working visit to Crimea has been postponed until July 20, spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Peskov said that Putin will attend a ceremony of laying warships for the Russian Navy in Crimea.
“Today, there have been changes in the president’s work plans: the previously announced trip to Crimea and participation in the laying ceremony for new warships will take place on Monday (July 20). The working trip to Crimea has been postponed to Monday,” Peskov said.
On Thursday, Putin will hold a meeting on the upcoming budget process, he added.
“Today the president will work in Novo-Ogaryovo, today he, in fact, will launch the budget process. Traditionally, this begins in summer. The president decided today to hold the first meeting, just such a draft meeting, on the upcoming budget process,” Peskov said.
